Hi, I'm Gavin. Welcome to my blog! I'm a rising senior at North Hollywood High School, and I have a keen interest in robotics, fluid dynamics, and aquatics.

So what's this project all about? It all started when I was just mindlessly perusing Youtube one day, and I stumbled upon this video showcasing a 3D printed underwater drone. I found it very interesting, and even though I didn’t really know anything about the components that go into drones, or how those components work, or how to put them together, I decided I wanted to try building such a robot from scratch, without looking at any online tutorials. I decided to create this blog documenting my progress because I knew I would have to learn a lot, like a shit-ton during this process, especially when it came to electronics, which I really am not familiar with at all, so it would be a great opportunity to educate others who may also be interested into diving into the world of robotics and drones. Furthermore, from my own and others' experiences, I've seen that steep learning curves often be a deterrent from pursuing more advanced projects and goals, so another reason I chose to create this blog was to give others an idea of what working through one such learning curve looks like, and therefore, hopefully, to encourage students to pursue their own goals regardless of whatever barrier may lie in their way.
